Are you interested to acquire up-to-date knowledge and technical skills in the perioperative care of patients who undergo thoracic surgery or critically-ill patients undergoing cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgery in the Intensive Care Settings?

Do you have a scholarship, educational grant, or can you afford the expenses of your travel, transportations, and accommodations?

If yes, the European Association of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anaesthesia and Intensive Care (EACTAIC) offers an opportunity for the members of EACTAIC for:

The EACTAIC Exchange Training Programme in Critical care Medicine at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Montpellier (France) is open again from April 2022.
Summertime in July and August 2022 is also possible for interested applicants.

Exchange Training Programmes

Opportunity for Trainees:

The interested trainees to acquire technical skills in the assessment, interpretation of diagnostic tests, monitoring, and care of critically ill patients following cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery could join the EACTAIC Exchange Training Observership Programme in Critical Care Medicine (CCM).

For centres interested in hosting the programme:

Do you have critical care units with a high volume of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular critically ill cases per week to host the programme? If yes, please complete the application form and send it to eactaic@aimgroup.eu

Are you interested to acquire technical skills in the preoperative assessment, anaesthesia, monitoring, and postoperative care of patients undergoing open thoracotomy and video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS)?

Do you have a scholarship, educational grant, or can you afford the expenses of your travel, transportations, and accommodations?

If yes, EACTAIC offers an opportunity for the members of EACTAIC for two weeks’ Thoracic Anaesthesia Exchange Training period as an observer at one of the approved host centres which have a high volume of thoracic surgery cases.
